The songs reflect their musical interests, from Joni Mitchell’s “Big Yellow Taxi” to Hank Williams’ “Your Cheatin’ Heart” to John Hiatt’s touching “My Dog and Me” and the iconic song from the Civil Rights Movement, “Keep Your Eyes on the Prize”. Susan & Ray feel very fortunate to have worked with sonic genius Mark Dann at his studio in Woodstock, NY, on this project. Susan & Ray have performed together for nearly twenty years, starting with the popular band RockFish in Southern Maryland and more recently as a duo performing in Nantucket, Southern Maryland and venues in between. A talented singer-songwriter, Susan’s 2018 CD, Nantucket Girl, traverses history and life’s poetic mysteries. Including 12 original songs and one cover, Nantucket Girl presents a collection of songs for maritime enthusiasts, adventurers, history lovers and those who delve deep. Nantucket Girl was on the Folk DJ charts in the fall of 2018. With Time & Tides, Susan & Ray take the opportunity to cover some of their favorite songs.
